Feed to America is a nonprofit organization based in Huaraz, Peru, dedicated to tackling hunger and advancing food security within our community. We firmly believe that access to nutritious food is a basic human right and are devoted to ensuring that no one in our area goes without. Our mission is to deliver healthy, balanced meals to those in greatest need, focusing on vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and low-income families who are most affected by food scarcity.
Our Mission
Feed to America aims to not only alleviate immediate hunger but also to foster long-term solutions that empower individuals and communities. Our approach involves collaboration with local farmers, food banks, and community partners to create a comprehensive strategy for hunger relief. We focus on providing nutritious food while also addressing the underlying causes of food insecurity through education and sustainable practices.
Our Approach
Food Distribution: We partner with local farmers, food suppliers, and international donors to source fresh and nutritious food. Through our network of volunteers and local community centers, we ensure that this food reaches those in need, including underserved and remote areas of Huaraz.
Child Nutrition Programs:
Children are particularly vulnerable to the effects of malnutrition. We prioritize child nutrition by providing healthy meals to schools, orphanages, and daycare centers. Our programs help support their physical and cognitive development, giving them the foundation for a brighter future.
Sustainable Agriculture Training:
